Appearance of Bhaktivinoda Thakura

The appearance day of Bhaktivinoda Thakura, the man with whom the tradition's revival in modern times began. He was a magistrate and the father of a large family, and still wrote about a hundred books on bhakti.

His songs are sung in this temple every day: Gaura-arati in the evening, Bhoga-arati in the larger temples at noon. The fast is kept until midday, and then there is a feast.
