Radhastami

The appearance day of Srimati Radharani, Krishna's eternal companion and the very embodiment of devotional service. The tradition says the easiest way to approach Krishna is through Her.

The festival comes two weeks after Janmashtami. In the temple there is special worship, kirtan and a feast; the fast is kept until noon.

On this day it is customary to ask for service rather than for anything for oneself.
