Govardhana-puja
The festival remembering how Krishna lifted Govardhana Hill and held it on His little finger for seven days, sheltering the people of Vrindavana from the downpour sent by Indra.
On this day a “hill” of prasadam is built in the temple — hence the other name, Annakuta, “mountain of food”. It is offered to the Lord, circumambulated with kirtan, and then distributed to everyone present.
One of the homeliest festivals of the year: plenty of prasadam, plenty of singing, and nothing complicated for a first-time visitor.
The festival schedule will be announced closer to the date.
The exact festival schedule is announced in the temple's Telegram channel: the temple's Telegram channel
