Kartika Purnima — the last evening of Damodara's month and the last lamp. The month of vows that began on 26 October comes to a close.

The same day the Tulasi-Salagrama vivaha is held: the wedding of Tulasi Devi and the Salagrama-sila. The service is festive and crowded, and a feast follows.
